Tint / black level issue between frames (Epic-W on IPP2 Beta firmware)

Hey all,

I am on a feature and have noticed during some takes a very subtle tint / black level change - almost a flicker. I thought it may be a monitor issue, but it plays back in Cine-X / Premiere. I have attached two screenshots straight from Cine-X one frame apart.

Just testing the waters to see if anyone has had this problem on the Helium sensor with the IPP2 firmware.

yeah i had this problem over a month and im also in a feature production.This problem exist on 1600/3200 iso.Solution is not using above 800 iso.

Are you on IPP2? Should I roll back to an older firmware, would this fix the problem to push 800iso?

Im on IPP2 and it was the first reason DP choose this camera for a feature ( blame on me ,i recommended it) also we shot lots of scenes on 1600/3200, few days later post called and told raw files had this problem, its non fixable.Lesson learned never use beta firmware again Sounds like latest beta fixes this problem , havent checked yet since we are gonna wrap tomorrow.

They're working on it, but still a beta fix for now.

Hey Cory,

I just installed the latest beta on my weapon helium and shot some stuff at 3200 iso with next to no light. I noticed that they seemed to fix the flickering problem. Good luck on the rest of your feature.

I have seen this on EPIC as well, but mostly on Timelapse footage. What is the shutter angle? What is the power source? Battery level?

its not related to those.Red knew the problem and looks like they fixed it.
