Edit: In Reference to Komodo-X

Any idea when timecode out will be available?
Is there any timecode trigger out currently (to trigger a Zoom F6)?

Maybe contact Alvin's Cables (alvinscable.com), they seem to make a timecode out cable for Ext port to 3.5 jack:
If you need RED Komodo timecode-out cable or bidirectional timecode cable, please contact us.

The issue with the Komodo-X is that timecode out isn't enabled/available yet on the EXT port. The Komodo took 3 years to get timecode out enabled there with a firmware update. I was hoping since the Komodo-X is over two years old, firmware was coming to finally enable that, OR somehow there was another way to snag timecode out (SDI?).

So is there no timecode out on the KX at this time even across SDI?

There is both TC and metadata over SDI. Files recorded with a Ninja have both matching TC and filenames.

So, yay...sort of. It appears that there is a time code out signal now on the EXT (or the TC port if using the expansion) but it appears that it's a constant TC signal, there does not appear to be a REC RUN setting so that when TC is set to internal (KX is master) and RECORD is triggered on the KX, the timecode signal is output, and when RECORD is stopped, the timecode output is stopped. Leading to me hanging my head that I would finally be able to trigger record on my zoom f6 only be be thwarted again. Is the SDI timecode signal a REC RUN style where the timecode is only output when recording?

I think you need to switch Timecode Display Mode from TOD to Edge. Allegedly that’s rec run but I haven’t tested it personally.

Good Luck

Thanks, tried that. Appears that is literally a "display mode" (screen) but has not effect on the actual TC output.
