Timecode jammer

Hi I’m completely new to time code and multi camera setups and have a question:

What’s the best/cheapest thing I can buy to jam my red scarlet, scarlet dragon, and zoom 8 recorder on set?

If you're doing 2 cameras, I would recommend you jam both timecode and genlock (sync), so that the cameras are in sync for timecode and actual timecode phase (relationship to frame pulldown). Either the Denecke SB-T or the Ambient Lockits are good for this purpose. I would also suggest getting a timecode slate that can jam to the timecode source (which is typically the sound recorder); both Denecke and Ambient make good slates. I'm not a fan of Zoom recorders, but some people use them.

I think those two alternatives would be the cheapest good quality options.

The Tentacles are about 5mm smaller than the Ultrasync Ones, but the Ultrasync Ones are more fully featured (eg. genlock & RF linking). I've used the Tentacles (edit - not with a multi-cam setup though) but would get the Ultrasync Ones in the future if the need arises.

+1 on the ultasync ones. Bought three for around $800. Sync became a non-issue. Beautiful little gadgets.

Tentacle sync has been rock solid for me and very low cost. I used one with my Sound Devices Mixer 10T for a feature and it made post a breeze.
