  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Time to share RED ALERT HEAVEN.

Color or even After Effects can be as serious a grading tool as any other. The question is not what colors you can achieve, but how fast you are getting there.

I've discovered this with build 17: if you turn your camera color space to camera rgb, red alert won't generate the proxies as explained in the method of Big T. If you want to generate proxies similar to R3D in red alert you must set the same color space:
camera color space: rec709
output lut/gamma space: rec709

Hi,
I follow the fxphd lessons and I've recently watched the one that explains your workflow: red alert - final cut....

Thanks.

Hi Luca, which fxphd class was that one?

Thank you.

I noticed this thread hasn't been updated in awhile.

Do Big T's Curve settings still hold up in matching the REDAlert Image to how it will look in Final Cut?

There is definitely a mismatch from what REDAlert presets look like and what Log and Transfer sees. Doesn't seem to a problem in Clipfinder and REDRushes.

It does not for me. I hope BigT can come help us out again.

RED ALERT used to let me change color/gamma space to use in the quicktimes, but for some reason now it doesn't. I now have to use red rushes in order to have quicktimes with changed color/gamma settings. :crying:
