Hi!

I'm seriously considering buying a Scarlett with a partner.
We are aiming a 25 000$ Kit approximately.
Since it's a lot of money, i'm really curious about the "process of payment" in itself?
Anyone knows "WHEN" you need to pay? Is it after a week or so, Will they actually email you in like 3 months and say it's ready, need to pay in 24h or you lose your deposit?
Do you have like...1 week to actually make the payment when they say "you need to pay"...
Since it's a very different experience of "Buying", I'm really trying to prepare myself accordingly to it.

Thanks mates,

Gabriel

Yes i'd like to know that too. I want to put deposit on today but won't have balance till January. Is this a problem? I will email red directly but thought i'd ask here also.

From my understanding, which is based solely on the conversation I had with my Bomb Squad rep while ordering a Scarlet, once you order your initial deposit payment will be processed and removed from your bank account within 7 days (note that some items in the RED store are not deposit based and you'll being paying in full at the time of processing). The remaining balance on your account can be payed anytime from the initial processing to the time when it ships. I believe you bomb squad rep will contact you when your order is ready to ship in order to process the rest of the payment if you haven't already payed off your balance. I am not aware of REDs policy on if you don't have the funds available at the time of shipping to pay the remaining balance on your order (will they immediately cancel your order or postpone shipping for a certain amount of time?).

My advice would be to have enough money in your bank account/on credit whenever you initially order so that you don't have to worry about what RED would do if you don't have the money when you have to pay.
