  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Time of day resetting?

Experienced this with my E-W. Bomb Squad instructed me to to leave the camera on for 3 days (yep, 3 days fully on, not just plugged in) to fully charge the internal battery. Did the trick for me. Didn't need to send in.

Dose anyone know if Keith's method might work on a DSMC 1 Dragon bain.
Thanks

I can confirm that a) this method did work for my Scarlet-W (obviously DSMC2) but b) did NOT work with my Scarlet Dragon (DSMC).

Real bummer and it's not the first time I have had the problem with the Scarlet Dragon. Sent it in for repair a couple years back and then it happened again. :-( I love RED but they seem to be very much ignoring this particular issue.

I have same issues from the beginning (sw). After performing 30 hours charge it went all right.
But it occurred again. Now when i change my presets the TOD is resetted. So i have
no more advantages to use presets.Resetting Time and date with foolcontrol is not enough quick.
I would like to go back to 2001 as fast as my scarlet w!

Had the same problem after not using my cameras for around 2 months. The resolution I got from my bomb squad rep is to power on the camera using an A/C adapter and leave on for 35 hours to trickle charge the internal battery.

Yes, add 35 hours to the camera to keep your battery charged.

Unfortunately this number seems to keep climbing, iirc. First I read about the issue we are all having, it was 20 hrs. The last I heard it was 30 hrs. Now I'm seeing 35 hours to 3 entire days. This is getting ridiculous....

No one keeps the camera running for 3 days straight. It's the solution Red gives because there are no other solutions.
