hi everyone,

I am thinking to have a motion control dolly for my 5dmk2 for timelapse(or even tracking),including pan and tilt.

Its better will did a great performance in Red one also for tracking.(I hope:)but mainly for the timelapse.)

who is the best in Kessler and Camblock(seems like great also),or any suggestion?(like Dynamic Perception and DitoGear?)

Thanks

Yu

Don't know if you know about the film "Timescapes". It has some breathtaking time lapse/motion control dolly work, like you were looking for. It was shot on RED - MX and Epic - M for sure, and I believe 5D Mk 2 also. You could visit them at:

http://timescapes.org

On the film, they used both the Kessler and Cam Block. In the 'Blog' section of the film, they show Mike Flores and Tom Lowe operating.

You could PM them directly, and they could give you some first hand advice.

thank you very much for your help Nathaniel!

Now,im focus on Kesslercrane.

I hope it can automatically track, pan and tilt also.and maybe with automatically crane.

so,i think the buylist should be:

Cineslider x1

REVOLUTION Pan and Tilt Head System x1

ORACLE Control System x1

elektraDRIVE 500 Series Motor Pod (516:1) x1(or one more elektraDRIVE SPECIALTY MOTOR - 1000:1 Motor Pod for spare and difference style)

The last question,if i want a Kessler crane with motion, can i use my own tripod and head with it?

the buy list for a crane should be:

elektraDRIVE Mounting Kit for Shuttle Pod™

KC-5.5 crane(if i can use my own head and tripod)

(and i think i had a controller and motor already)

am I correct?

Thanks again!

YU

We've tested ditogear with Epic recently and it went pretty well. I can send you short clip that we made.
