I recently updated my firmware on the Epic MX and now I lose my time and date every time I power the camera down. Am I doing something wrong or do I have a hardware problem?

Your clockchip or clock battery are no longer functioning properly. It will cost more in labour ($100) and shipping than the actual part.

And yes, it's frustrating, but there is nothing you can do.

Yep, have to send it back. I was on a time-code needed production in Panama when this happened. Was on the phone with red trying everything before we had to ship it back.

Zac, could you not use a lockit box or similar to maintaine timecode as per usual (when there's a sound guy)?

No sound guy, was a 5 camera panorama setup. Didn't have to be exact, so we'd jam once a day. But one camera would reset after ever reboot. Didn't have the time to rejam everytime.
