Here is a quick unboxing video and first look at the Tilta RED DSMC2 Camera Rig ESR-T01-A model.

I know our team has been wanting a better look at these cages since they were announced at NAB 2016. We just got our cage in the mail today. Since I know there are still not many videos or pictures out there we decided to make a quick video.

I am happy to answer any questions.

How has it been working out? I ordered one a few days ago but I just saw a post on the Epic-W Facebook group with someone having issues with the LCD Lemo (their 5 inch touch has a strong blue cast) and then someone in the comments said their friend's Alexa Mini caught fire with a Tilta cage (I'm a bit skeptical about it literally "catching fire", which seems unlikely given the materials involved) but still a little disconcerting...

We have not had any issues yet. Quite a few full production days of use on it already with no hiccups. No discoloration on the LCD.
I will say we have not fully vetted every single lemo port as we don't have enough stuff to fill them up but all the rest of the ports have been good with no reason for concern.
Hope that helps.

Good to hear! Mine just showed up this morning, I'll probably run it through some testing and then a shoot I have early next week before I decide if I'll unload my RED I/O module and Wooden Camera top/base plates. But then again even the RED stuff can have bugs and issues, so it's not like any product is a 100% sure bet.

I powered up the Tilta stuff, seems to be working fine. No discoloration on the LEMO LCD on mine, either. The only other issue (not applicable to our models) I saw on here was that some guys had issues with their 48v phantom power on the XLR inputs. I'll keep my eyes peeled for any other quirks.
