Hey!

My Tilta Mb-t05 came in and I'm using the 80mm adapter it came with. It fits in there and locks in but if i use some force I could take it off. Is this normal? I'm the sigma 18-35 with cordvision 80mm front.

Anybody have this issue before?

Thanks,
Parker

I think it the weakness of clip-ons generally, even on the high end brands it still occurs, most adapters (if not all) are plastics and there's only so much force that "clip" on the mattebox can apply via friction that will hold the MB without damaging either the fastener on the clip or the plastic adapter. I would like to think (not sure though) that its because of this rails/rods are still very popular as a mount option for MBs generally.

This said, I think you can try get (borrow) another MB and test out to be sure there's no problem with your Tilta MB or the adapter you have.

Just add a little tape to thicken it up
