Has anyone had issues with attaching the original Tilta Dual Canon BP to V Mount adapter to Komodo? This is for the original model, not the new one that is RED approved. I bought two of the older ones on Amazon and both of them would not attach. Very tight fit, won't slide in and they jam into the body. I have to forcefully pull them to remove. I don't have any issues attaching my Core SWX v-mount adapter or any regular Canon batteries. I want to get a Tilta one so I can attach the mini v-mount batteries sideways, but I don't want to keep ordering them to try to get a good one if they have manufacturing issues.

I have one such adapter that at first felt like it won't fit at all but I found that it slips in after carefully finding the right place where to start pushing then. That said, I don 't think it's about older or newer versions of the adapter because only one out of four has this tight fit and they were all delivered at the same time, recently. It might just be an issue with tolerances. And it improved a bit after attaching/removing it several times. I simply leave that one attached now, forever.

I'm having precisely the same issue ! Seriously thinking of take some sandpaper to the mounting plate...

In the meantime, the reluctant one that I have has made good progress. After I have taken it off and put it back on about 10 to 20 times, there is almost (sic) no difference to the ones that worked well right from the start. No sandpaper was harmed in this process, maybe just give it a try.

I just heard back from Tilta, they are aware of the issue and told me they would exchange it for a functional one, free of charge. You should reach out to them as well :)

Alex : mine doesn't click in at all despite my checking for proper alignment, putting a little bit of grease in the grooves and applying considerable force

Glad to hear you get a replacement, might consider this option as well now. Appparently, there are different variations of 'misfits' out there.

I've had the same issue and been trying to figure this out. After two different Tilta's didn't fit, I started getting worried there was a manufacturing issue with my new Komodo and was about to send back to B&H. This just saved me wasting all that time and delay waiting on a new one to arrive. Thank you!!

Also heads up, Red just told me that there's been issues with the Tilta brackets not giving the correct voltage which can lead to damage and a voided warranty. This is why they removed the advanced power distribution module from their approved list. I decide to switch to the Mutiny IO instead since it's actually supported. Just wanted to share in case anyone else is in the same scenario. "Using it would void your warranty" isn't my favourite phrase...
