  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

TILTA - anyone?

Tilta has some fantastic stuff!

We have the things which you would like to buy. So there will be ok for 6-7 month of use dovetail and shoulder rig 4 month. If you are able to pay amount of sum again, so you could pay. Honestly, the quality is really poor. I would rather to purchase something like Letus shoulder pad and then o'connor o zacuto handheld. It's for really long time and very comfortable option.

and rod clamp from wooden camera.
You will enjoy every time when you will put the camera on your shoulder.

wooden camera all the way, american company and I call Ryan the Owner on a weekly basis and always picks up and shows me love!!! Tilta I am not a fan of cause there electronics are legal in America and being in China Customer service makes me feel unsure/uneasy. I learned the hard way with a Chinese company Cinegears (everyone knows how bad they are) and sticking with a brand I know and trust!!! Wooden Camera all the way plus I hear the follow focus is going to change lives!!!!

I bought the tilta shoulder rig this year and am not very happy with it. Pieces of it are loose and need gaff tape to screw on tight, the screws in the rosettes needed loctite to stop from loosening up. I would go wooden camera and spend the extra money.

Just got a tilta v-mount battery plate, real good quality!

I purchased the Camtree/Hunt shoulder rig on eBay (made for RED One) for around $300 and it is basically the exact same rig as the Tilta one from the looks of it. For the price, it's a steal because the build seems solid in my experience.

I upgraded the base plate to the RED platform because the Camtree feels cheap, and I don't use the top handle because I don't have a RED One, but it comes with a hard case and it's very convenient. Hope this helps

My two cents is go Camtree instead of Tilta, but if you have the money Wooden Camera is probably much better quality.
