So I know you don't need to use IRNDs on Dragon, but I have not had a chance to pickup a new set of non IR filters and I have a shoot coming up fast. Will IRNDs work fine on Dragon? Thanks!

You don't need and you don't want to use IRND on Dragons.
THEY FIXED IT its lovely and don't need it.

Don't have to spend all that extra money just ND will suit you pleasantly fine.

cheers

Thanks for your input BigLu, but I understand they are no longer needed. However all I own at the moment are IRNDs and I'm curious if using them on Dragon will produce bad results due to too much IR filtration. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

Yes you can use the IRND's if you'r really in trouble finding non irnd's but you'll have some green tint that you could grade back. With the Schneider irnd's the green will be much more present.
You'll probably not have the best results (as you have to grade it to get a neutral look) but if you don't shoot makeup or food commercial you'll probably be fine.

Phii did a great post a while back showing the color cast produced by using IRNDs with Dragon. As mentioned above, the new sensor doesn't need IR filtration like MX did. Thus, using them produces the cast that is correctable in post, but still not ideal.. This is the reason I am selling my set of ProStop filtration and buying the new Firecrest NDs from Formatt...

Thanks Guys!
