We had Tiffen 1.2 ND filter at today's film shoot and it ended up surprisingly blue. Anyone experienced this before?

No, didn't have the IR filter. It's hard to find in Japan.
So, I guess 1.2 is not ideal for RED then?

Are you sure you're not set for Tungsten lighting under Daylight lights?

In my experience IR is causing a purple cast, in particular on black clothing when using Rec709. Could well go into blue as well. ND 1.2 is definitely too much without an additional IR or the combined Formatt.

Under same situation, ND1.2 turns blue and others don't.

Sounds like the Formatt combo is the solution.

Here's a frame grab with Tiffen 1.2nd with Rosco TrueColor IR.
