It's not the Oxford comma that I believe is wrong in your sentence, I always thought they were optional, it's the first one, which is unnecessary.

If you want your posts to be read and taken seriously, [then] proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation all count.

Thanks for this, David. I learned a few things here. I'm still new here, along with about 5,000 others.
It doesn't take long to catch on unless you're trying not to.

We start out as Lurkers, looking, reading, and learning. But after Post #1 something really strange happens.
"I just gotta POST something" . . . start a thread (done it) . . . hijack one (done it) . . . and drive it off a cliff (doing it right now).
That urge passes soon . . . unless you're looking for affirmation or a soapbox. This would be an example of both.
