THOUGHTS ON THIS 4K MACRO TEST

I just came across this epic-w footage 4k @ 120fps , and I wanted to see what everyone thought, concerning noise, etc. on this example. I'm just curious as far as crop sensor goes. It looks like it holds up pretty well. Just wanted to see what other people thought.

Overall, it is pretty good. It is hard to judge about noise levels on a clip like this when you have to deal with Youtube compression noise aspects.

Also, I see there is (Youtube) H.264 compression related banding (on my calibrated 4K reference monitor).

Did you try the same test with IPP2 settings?

I can't imagine anyone picking that apart for image quality, other than the compression-related artifacts as mentioned by Neil. But If you're on YouTube, you're probably expecting worse.

Hey Rich, this was my experiment and appreciate the feedback all!

There is a follow up test that was shot at 8K and exported at 4K for YouTube that also used IPP2 settings with REDWideGamutRGB / Log3G10 and the IPP2 LUT from Phil Holland applied.
