Hello everyone!

I wanted to get your thoughts on this idea. I'm going to be a first time RED owner and since the RAVEN is the best deal around and with the lack of RED ecosystem videos on YouTube, I was thinking of creating a review and series on the RAVEN when it is released. This would cover the camera but more importantly, the process of shooting with one, the modules needed, and how effective of a camera it is. Which I'm sure it will be very good. I also wanted to do this to help people who were considering RED because of RAVEN and Scarlet-W being affordable for solo operators and people who are just getting into production. Would love to hear your feedback on this idea, also if you have things I should dive into in the videos, feel free to leave the suggestions below.

Thanks everyone!

I like the idea. As you said the process of shooting with one, modules, etc. I think highlighting the difference in function between the dslr's might be beneficial as there will be a group migrating from that into the Red ecosystem, showing things like protecting highlights and such. Also the work flow is something I would specifically be interested in seeing, not sure you'll agree due to the fact that the page would be to highlight the Raven camera, but I think it'll be important and cool to shine light on the workflow

The idea is very good. To the point that I'm sure many new owners have similar plans. The one with the best content will get the most views.

But if it's to monetize you need to look at it soberly. Some of the most popular personalities that do photo tutorials for the general public get 100.000-300.000 views. And they are targeting everyone with a camera.

The ones getting 8.000.000 views are the men(!) and women sitting at their desk playing with Barbies. Just a heads up, depending on what the goal is.

Very good point Andre. I am too coming from a DSLR background and this will be my first "real" camera.
I was thinking about doing something like that but without trying to monetize it. It actually would be more for me to learn the camera through trial and error.
I will definitely be on the look out for whomever does it too. Can't have enough sources for those of us who are not able to go to film school or learn on set under someone.
I shoot mainly my own short docu films, not verity, so I plan my shots as much as possible. I'll be looking to rig my Raven for something in between run and gun and narrative. I am looking forward to that.
