Didn't know where else to post this so here it goes into the Off Topic section.

Just had our full on day with the Epic M courtesy of the Post Factory here in London. This picture was taken around 10 hours ago and I still have this smile on my face. We did pickups for the first feature film I just directed called "Run Away With Me". I'll be posting a lot about it over the coming months. In the mean time I just wanted to thank everyone at RED and The Post Factory for making this happen.

This is awsome, I'm thinking I'll be doing the same with Scarlet in regards to the tethered power.. How long does the brick power that machine? Love it!

Nice =)

Good to see your having lots of fun with it

Thanks guys :)

The battery belt solution was a bit of a last minute A Team job. I told my AC James Leckey (@clapperloader on twitter) that I wanted the Epic to be as mobile as possible. We went down to the hardware store, bought some 1/4" bolts/nuts, metal plating and drilled through a tough canvas belt of mine. All we had to do was attach the battery plate on to it and voila, mobile power :)

The strap is a spare from my Kata DSLR back pack. Since I'd be hand holding the Epic all day and shooting guerrilla style I wanted some extra protection in case of slippage/attempted theft/getting knocked down.

As for how long the RED Bricks last? I don't know to be honest. Quite a while. We shot pretty much all day and night and I only had to change batteries once and that was due to a single occurrence of the Power Spike (c) error.

I'm addicted now. Can't wait to own some Scarlets and one day an Epic 645 :)
