  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This made my day better.

So my Canon 16-35L Lens focus ring locked up on me on my latest shoot. I was super bummed. Thought the worst. Then I found a video on how to fix it under two mins. I love the google search.

This made my day better. Hope it can help someone else.

When I checked my lens last night, All of the screws were loose. I tighten all of them. But now I know to check them. I'f they jar loose again Im going to lock tight them like this guy did. I would not want to need to repair the lens in the field. Those screws are extremely small.

My day too!!!

I was having the same problems with my 16-35. I thought I had a piece of dirt stuck in there somewhere.

Thanks so much!!

I've taken apart my 50mm Canon 1.4 and fixed it...

The latter there wasn't any tutorials so I had to just...go for it.

Frequent airline travel and the high frequency vibrations caused by turbine engines is known to loosen small screws on and in lenses. Source of this information came from either Chris Condon or Steve Manios (I forget which) of Century Precision Optics fame many years ago.
