  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This $150 device might change the way we all edit FOREVER.

I saw a demo for Minority Report-style editing like that at the 2004 Sundance. At that time, the developer was aiming to get the price point under $500,000. My how times change!

The Leap Motion Controller seems like it would be much less annoying at least for editing. Why would you want to wear something on your arm when you don't have to?

For google glass on the other hand, this could be the thing that makes it actually useful.

Based on demo it looks like this device is interpreting muscle activity and not motion.

As awesome as this is I think after a few hours of editing I'd get tired of swinging my arms around

I don't really ever feel the urge to "assist" my life in this way. I think I'd find the arm band more annoying than the ability to turn the volume up on itunes as I walk around my house. That said, pretty amazing technology.

This is crazy. Not sure I'd use it for editing but I'd still love to have a play. I can't imagine where we'll be in 5 years time!

I wonder how precise this will be and if it will be able to be used to replace a pen and tablet for paint or even roto work. Being able to adjust the "dpi" on the fly like you can with a gamer mouse would be a great way to add precision.
