Any third party monitors out there that can offer touch control for the scarlet? I'd love to invest in an actual RED PRO TOUCH screen, but I just dont have over a grand to drop on a screen right now. Currently controlling my camera using the side handle, but would like the touch option if possible? Did small HD or anyone ever make anything?

From my experience, there are no third-party that will control the SCARLET BRAIN.
I've moved from the 5" to the 7" TOUCH and wished I still had the 5".
7: is cumbersome for a lot of what I like to do now.

Hi Mike!
I am not aware of any 3rd party touch either. It is either the REDMOTE, Switchblade, the side handle or just save up for a 5.0 touch. They are worth it if you find a good secondhand one! Plus, if you do decide to upgrade to DSMC2, you can get the converter block to use them.

Eric, I hear you. I have the 7" for tripod action but use the 5" for everything else. In fact, the 5.0 is perfect for most jobs. Otherwise I just run an SDI feed to my Atomos SUMO 19 if I need more size on set. Or I have the EVF for missions / run an gun.

Great! Thanks for the info. I'll stick with my side handle for control for a few months until I can find a 5.0 Touch at a decent price.
