Third party SSD readers

Does anyone know if there are any third party Red SSD readers which are thunderbolt enabled?

I'm really interested in this. How does it work? How will it make transfer speeds from the Red SSD faster? I thought the speed of the SSD reader depended on the output cable being used. As it has no thunderbolt, how would it deliver thunderbolt speeds? you are going to have to connect to it via some other method which a thought would limit the speeds.

If this speeds up transfers I will jump on it like an early morning tube train.

I hope Red come out with a thunderbolt capable SSD reader soon for obvious reasons.

Thunderbolt won't be faster than USB3.0 or eSATA. Neither of these connections max out the SSD!

Not sure about RED mags but I use this all the time for black magic shoots. USB 3 and a low profile. http://plugable.com/products/usb3-sata-uasp1
