  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Correct, if you want the Peter hangover plan, you should switch before Oct 11 from RAVEN to SCARLET-W deposit.

Place your deposit for Scarlet-W now anyways. It's refundable and if you're planning on doing anything but just stick with your epic dragon, that $1000 deposit can just be moved over to that option I would imagine. However, as Brent said, if you want Epic-W, I dont think you're losing anything by putting the deposit down and changing your mind after october 11th. There are always people who are vocal they didnt jump on the train before the date Jarred and Brent set and then get pissed off asking for extensions... I dont think you want to be in that seat. Thats just my 2 cents.

Brent!! I was super psyched for the Epic-W program for Scarlet-W guys waiting for a camera and the pricing is incredible! (Straight up December 10th order...) Thank you guys very much. This latest news is great for Raven guys, but I am curious (since the rest of us don't know where we are in the cue) as to whether this will put first day Scarlet-W orders back a bit more now from the front of the line? And if so, how much....?? I don't know how far along you are on Raven orders in terms of timestamp, and certainly the majority of Raven orders will stay just that (Epic-W is a lot more money for some, even with the deep, deep discount) so I know you would only be guessing here. In any case, I have a lot of projects this fall that will be much better with the new Epic-W!!!
 
Just remember guys. When i recently went through this switching camera orders I was careful to keep my bomb squad rep in mind. don't go jumping the gun ordering a bunch of stuff only to make your rep change the orders over and over. It is best and fastest to make confident choices.

I could be wrong but I don't anticipate a wild rush of Raven deposit holders to swarm to the Epic-W, its a pretty big financial stretch to do so and the people with the means likely would of already switched from Raven to Scarlet-W. The Path is a courtesy path, because they have been waiting the longest.

Gotcha, so that kind of answers that the drunk finance plan is probably a little better than the sober plan haha. Thanks for the clarification Brent

Understand your confusion but remember nothing has officially been announced yet... including the specifics of that path.

All the pre-announcement info that we have dropped in this novel-sized thread have been little cookies for those that have had the patience to follow along.
 
Long time Scarlet mx owner. Was going to upgrade to scarlet-w soon(with 6 months) but these epic w sort of announced plans are intruiging. Should I just hold tight till Oct 11? Or worth putting a deposit on scarlet-w? Im not to keen on putting any money down without clear info but also want to get best deal possible.

Ha, Norbert, this is a fact. I am very lucky we work a lot with Red Bull Media House so I never have to worry about my Red Bull fridge being empty...

Cool! I am from Austria. Home of Red Bull. And yes. I have seen working the staff of Red Bull Media House often with Red cameras.

Know i may be in the minority but i do fall in that category of switching. You guys are too awesome at making deals i cant pass up
 
I don't think I've missed a post on this thread, so assuming my brain works correctly (I know, assumptions are usually wrong) this hasn't been addressed... So is there an expected discounted upgrade path for Scarlet-W waity-but-happy day1-orderers to Weapon Helium that could be triggered pre-Oct 11? (Only asking because of the Weapon Helium at-the-ready comment above) I guess waiting 12 days is nada compared to the already waited part, but just curious if that price has been rumorized at this point?

I'm pretty sure I made up several words in the line above.
