  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I think its more like if October 11th or the 13th... I can't remember. Brent can decide. That is if he hasn't killed me by then :)

Jarred, anything firm yet for when the CF Helium loaner program starts?
 
The nice thing about this generous offer is, it's good for both sides: the ones who don't have money and have to stay, don't have to wait as long. For the ones who have money,... Well, that's obvious!

October 11 would be wonderful because it is my 45th birthday.

Do you think I can get my Scarlet-W by then or even Epic-W? (SW end of January 2016 order through dealer)

So let me try and get this strait

Epic Dragon to Weapon Dragon MG - $14,000.00
Epic Dragon to Epic W - A bit more than $10,000.00
Weapon Dragon MG (New $29.500,00) to Epic W - $ 9,950.00 (Price of the Bentley suite)
Scarlet W (New $9,950.00) to Epic W - $10.000,00

Is this correct. I understand Red is trying to elevate the congestion on the Scarlet W line. But this hardly seems fair to those who have recently upgraded from there Epic D to Weapon D MG

It will be like it the old days. Everybody is online. I remember the day, when you released the Info for Epic :-)
 
Talk about server meltdown...

I am PRAYING to the Red gods to keep the Dragon Frame rates when we go epic dragon to Helium. Us motorsport/ tv Commercial Red Users will be eternally grateful!

Hardly, but it is. It's the risk we all take. Hardly seems fair to tie up $20k+ in a camera package for eight months, a camera that only exists in your head. Yet here we are. I'll take the lumps.
 
Seems that I'm gonna have to invest 20k instead of 10k.
Will the scarlet dragon to scarlet-w upgraders that are still waiting to receive the camera be able to upgrade too?

Which is the fastest path to get a camera (either scarlet-w or epic-w)?
 
Sorry guys one question: upgrading from SW to EW it mean that you will get a new whole camera? Or just the sensor in the SW?

To those that updated to Weapon Magnesium from Epic Dragon, lets not forget you got a camera with better noise floor, ergonomics, color, none of the issues related with the DSMC 1 bodies. Basically you got a camera upgrade that performed better than the DSMC1 Dragon.

Those that didn't upgrade from Epic Dragon to Weapon Magnesium and go to Helium will have to pay for the Weapon body upgrade and the new sensor.

There was no time stamp for us Epic Dragon owners to upgrade to Weapon, a very sensible move by Red, because most have been using the Dragon sensor for a very limited amount of time. I didn't upgrade to Weapon Magnesium, for example, because I needed to recoup my Dragon upgrade investment, and could live with the current limitations of DSMC1 vs 2. With the introduction of the Helium sensor, DSMC 2 completely makes sense, and am ready to upgrade. There were definitely times I wished I had the DSMC2 system and the performance of the Dragon Sensor on it.
 
I really haven't been paying enough attention! Will the Epic W be in the DSMC2 body or as the name suggests the Epic DSMC1 style body?
