Wow! This is huge! Going to be a lot of Epic-W out there! Probably more than there are currently even Scarlet-Ws...
I think so. They are going to be everywhere. One thing incentivizing me to buy the Epic-W was potential for rentals, plus the uniqueness of having an 8K camera but it seems like everyone is going to own the thing! I mentioned that concern to a friend and he says "...you own an FS7. Literally EVERYONE owns an FS7." hahaha. Plus, I'm usually busy enough (or filling some time with passion projects) that I don't really rent gear out. I like the luxury of being able to use my stuff anytime, anywhere.

Anyway, what's everyone up to!?

The worst part about today is I'm at a VFX house post supervising, I don't know if I'll have time at the time they release the upgrades to jump on it. I'm going to try to plan the day around hitting up reduser at the pre determined time.

Been stated here quite a few times. Plan is to stop accepting orders for the Oct 11 upgrade paths on Dec 31. But if volume dictates we have end some sooner, we will.

If you do end it before Dec 31st-would we get at least some warning before? Like "you only have 48 hours left" instead of "effective immediately"
Definitely don't have the funds to upgrade now/put a deposit-but would in a month or two.

Anyone else have Jarred's profile up, refreshing until his activity changes to "Creating new thread"?! haha

You know it!

Jarred is playing this one so cool. Brent was up last night like a faithful watchdog of the forum... while Jarred just waits...

soon he will make his move.

thats an interesting point. It's good to have more as many out there as possible. One of my greatest conundrums is being too early with owning a helium sensor, clients are just getting used to Dragon and know that and there feel comfortable working with that...

They will be more fearful of a new 8K workflow. And have a "let's just go with what are used to" attitude. I know You can be too early with something, but the prores proxies shooting does alleviate some of the workflow fears.

so the more Epic-w/Helium becomes mainstream and like the FS7 the more we all will benefit.

Tried to sleep. Spent the night having stress dreams about not being able to get ahold of my Rep and showing up to set 3hrs late.
