Does anyone has an estimate how many cameras will be designated to the Tattoo phase and how many Red owners will be interested in that?

I would guess somewhere around a few dozen and a few hundred respectively.

I don't believe RED will announce this, and for good reason. As far as how many redusers will want to be involved in the Tattoo program- probably at least a thousand

No, Red will not announce these numbers. This is more of an estimate by Red user.
I think not more than 50-150 cameras will be part of the Tattoo phase and I estimate there are between 500-1500 requests for it.

Yea I guess a few hundred might be a bit low for users wanting in on it, but I would be surprised to hear that there were more than a few dozen cameras put out there. At most I'd guess 60, well placed.

Agreed Roberto, at the cost Jim stated (and lets not forget $ loss) it doesnt make sense to put out more than 10 to 20 BETA units to loyal customers who will test the heck out of it in REAL WORLD situations.
