Making money as a Indie Doc shooter seems pretty straight forward:
1. Make a quality product that has a built-in story
2. Charge a reasonable fee to make stealing seem ridiculous
3. Work social media channels and festivals to promote

The thing is you need to spend a LOT of time promoting to get any money back. Promotion is a profession unrelated to filmmaking (at least it should be unrelated).

Just because it's on the internet doesn't mean anyone will care or know you even exist, let alone give you money. This film looks great, but people have to know about it.
