Hey all!

Here's the trailer for "The Sheol Express", my senior thesis film, shot on RED, build 16 or 17, last spring.

The trailer was cut and colored from prores files, so color is a little disappointing, but we have no money (the trailer is being used to raise post funds). Final grade will be (hopefully) done professionally. If you'd like to contribute post services, give me a PM, please.

Check out the trailer, and I'd love to hear reactions!

i liked it. although the trailer feels like a show of talking heads. It strikes me as a psychological mindbender film about death and crossing over (interesting concept) but the trailer feels confined, at times claustrophobic. If so, would it be better suited for the stage?

Hope I can see the whole film...

Very nice indeed, can I ask some questions like the lens used? How long did it take to shoot? And where did you do the train interior sequences?

Well, Adil, it's already a film, so tough cookies. The main reasons that it feels cramped is

1) It's supposed to - an intentional aesthetic choice relating to the thematic content, and 2) because all of the stuff outside of the train takes place in a world full of green screen which is not done yet.

It was shot over 7 days in a soundstage in NYC, using Arri lenses (I believe this was in the pre-RPP era)... Ultraprimes? I think we had f/1.9. The train interiors were designed and built from scratch by our amazing production designers, based on 1900's - era trains.

the trailer made me want to see the movie. so thats a big win!
kudos and good luck. PS: Color is bad? I thought it looked great. if that was the choice

Yeah, the color's just not as rich as I'd like it to be. Would love it to be darker, less washed-out. It will come...
