I'm liking the Proteus lenses more and more and while I love the thought of mixing an interesting brew with odd lens and adapter combos, the Proteus lenses just seem to give the most bang for the buck in terms of a relatively affordable modern anamorphic set. The straight classic 2X squeeze ratio is also a big plus as I would want all those interesting artifacts and compression elements of anamorphic to play with that I just don't see with the 1.33 and 1.5 lenses, although 1.8x isn't so bad.
