Colleagues,

Would like to share with you the "teaser" shot for the investors for the feature we are working on (camera gear rental, DIT, editing and grading). A great team from here in Orlando, FL is ready to start to have fun shooting this interesting story in June about the different facets of a "Sessionist". There are two version; the only variation is the music. We know is long, but its purpose requires it to be this way.

Hope you enjoy it:

Cheers!

Intriguing, nice shots, but...

- dialogue mixed too low - can't hear what she is saying sometimes, and she mumbles too much

- not sure why wrestling is "bad" in any way - it's a sport, practiced by many normal people. The opening sequence of the wrestling is also way too long/boring.

Rob,

Thanks for your comments. As I disclaimed, this is targeted to a very specific group that requested a very specific product. The good news is that it worked.

Please note that under the description we were clear that there was no feature-level sound mixing. It was more "show me why should I write another check for $XXK", and by doing this under an extreme timetable, perfection was not achieved, but the requested product accomplished the desired goal.

As far as I see this, wrestling is not presented as a bad thing. It is just that in this particular case, based on a true story, the Sessionist lady has on her life another facet that it happens to be wrestling as her sport. The story is really interesting due to this particular scenario. We intend to shoot it this summer, and most likely will be ready as a final product by the end of this year.

Thanks again,

Any man that goes out on a limb and tries to make a movie in this climate is an absolute in my eyes.
Go for Rob, Throw everything at it! and never look back.
Fail or not, the experience you will gain form this will most certainly not be wasted.

Hey I agree - my comments were not meant in any way as dismissal or discouragement. I just personally appreciate constructive feedback, which is what I was trying to give.

Rob,

I did not interpret your comments as dismissal statements. There are things needed to be said, and as long as they are expressed respectfully honest, they are constructive. Everything you mentioned is true; it is just that it was done either by design, or by necessity. Designed for get checks written (which we accomplished), and by necessity since there was $0000.00 for paying no one, specially sound... if you know what I mean. This was a $0 cost, incredible investment, so everyone that was part will get their reward by having assured a contract on the real deal.

However, if you see it projected, it feels like a million has been put into it. Vimeo version was impressive for investors, not for filmakers. Seeing it on my projection room was priceless.

So, thanks for your comments.

Regards,
