  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The running rig update

its coming in black Iam afraid, I had this option but different customers wanted different parts anodized and it was getting confusing so I decided to go black.
I will have some higher resolution pictures in a few days.
Cheers

I've just received my Running Rig from Constantine. And I simply loooove it! Constantine, has been working very hard with this product, and it shows. Great quality overall, and a very very nicely balanced rig! Even though Constantine ran into some minor production problems along the way, he wrote to me almost everyday it seems informing be about the process. I am very grateful to the way he treats his customers, and he even tried the rigs with a Red on top before shipping to check that it behaves as expected. Its not very usual that someone goes into this much trouble checking that everything is top notch before shipping.

Today I assembled the Rig (Had to wait until I got some longer battery cables). And I was simply amazed about how perfect the balance felt. Also panning with the camera felt very comfortable from start (compared to when I tried a smaller steady cam system for the first time.. ouch it was just a big frustration..)

I can only give the running rig five big stars! And Im already looking forward to the new upgrades Constantine is working on. To quote mr T. -Your a fool not to order one!

I will upload some images soon!

Some photos of Peter Karlsoon with his new HR-1deluxe..
More to come and videos.
Peter has rooted the cables NOT very tidy at these photos as he was probably anxious to play with his new toy. Later he did a better job. Also you will notice that you can mount the red one directly on the HR-1DELUXE cheese plate so you can lower the red a couple of cm, as Peter did here.
For quick on and off to sticks, you can buy an extra dovetail stage to mount on your tripod. Then you can just slide in and out in no time fro HR-1 DELUXE TO STICKS. The dovetail stage has a snap lock no tools, and a spring mounted security pin.

And here is Daniel Graetz from down under. with his HR-1 deluxe and his message to me.

Hey Constantine,

We had a small window of time today to play with The Running Rig and we are LOVING IT!!!! We basically got the camera on there with the LCD, battery and hard drive. We didn't have time to really balance it properly - but even with it being completely out of balance we found it great to use. I can only imagine what it will be like when it's setup properly!

I chucked some photos of it on Facebook - here's the link to the public gallery:
Thanks so much for creating this tool and getting it to us so promptly. First thing next week we're going to shoot some tests with one of our REDs in standard handheld vs. a RED on the Running Rig.

Cheers,
Dan

I must say that I can see the camera not placed properly and it s all set up very quickly, I will tell you if everything is balanced nicelly it does make A HUGE difference ...
Cheers Dan have fun with your new toy..:auto:
