Purchased a Hydrogen.

I don't want a cellphone, hate my iPhone already.

MKB stated the screen had Bleed, PHFX stated repeatedly its 'bright.'

This is a good sign as bleed can be roped in and still left with something BRIGHT.

Hoping it can be used as a monitor, BY CABLE or Mount (not Wifi), and can give the camera SOME

Future proof qualities (beyond a 6-8K 2D Cinema Camera).

ie: Stabilization with a finally implemented gyro (App?) even a SMALL AMOUNT of stabilization.

(Look at lenses/cameras that have SMALL AMOUNTS of stabilization, can make a big difference).

or Some form of beyond 2d image capture that can be applied to the RED footage.

Which is what I interpreted this as being anyway. But hoping this leap frogs RED cameras beyond the resolution wars (or other ridiculous wars/debates, DR, color science, "internal NDs") into something beyond what any camera can offer.

ie. Some kind of really futuristic module (also replacing the Cine Tape systems?).

That does this WHILE ALSO BEING a monitor.

I don't care if it does any of these but I hope it does. Something beyond being a monitor for the camera.

I agree that using the Hydrogen as a hand-held monitor will be a nice intermediate use. But long term, I think it is the gateway hardware to a new way of shooting that finally makes the Digital Camera... obsolete. '-)
