Just wanted to drop a post in here to show off some more beautiful RED media. Below is a link to a Trailer website for the feature film 'The Red Canvas.' We used a 4k pipeline to complete the trailer and final 4k DPX files were conformed to 2k ProRes HQ, and the h264 web versions you'll see.

The tools?
Software: Compressor, FCP, REDCINE, Scratch, ProTools and AfterFX
Hardware: Barco DP100, MacPros, Dual Xeon Scratch systems, 20TB SAN

On the site are 512, 1024, 2048, and 4096 versions.

Also, here at Hollywood-DI we are continually excited about RED cinema, all of its demands and of course it's glorious images. We've put together a little web workflow page as a visual reference for the RED post world.

Enjoy the trailer!

GREAT! Some very nice stuff! It's great to see some real finished work coming out.

Have you considered a "print". I really love the RED and what it's about to do for the industry but I've seen some film projected stuff and man you can't not tell it wasn't shot on film. For commercials and features I plan to do prints, simply cause it puts it back on celluloid and at that point it's film again.

regards,

Fredrik
