  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Perfect Burger - 5K

Cool! I loved the little ending sequence with the relish dripping, chips being plopped down, and the foam running down the beer can. Nice work.

Hungry... very hungry. My perfect burger includes bacon and crumbly blue... but yours looks really tasty too. Nice short.

hmm. I typically only eat a burger maybe once every couple years. But after watching that I may have to call up some friends for a weekend bbq. Great job Bob!

on a side note I am still trying to nail down identifying the Leica-R look. I've been looking around the stills forums and personally I find a lot of images not to my taste-- I tend to like the look of the Contax Zeiss lenses. The look you have going on here looks fantastic though. Was there much color grading or mostly as shot?

Thanks Samir. My perfect burger actually doesn't have meat. As for color grading, there was just minor adjustments to the RED metadata accessible within FCPX. It's so fast and convenient to be able to edit in realtime the 5K material. Gotta love progress!

Bob,

nice stuff.

Want to know more about how you are rigging that overhead shot.
