Hey guys just want to give the heads up that Maxx Digital new MOBILE ROCKET is here, Ron from Maxx Digital sent me the posted pic below, and we will be testing this unit on a shoot early next month with Richard Fox and Steve Gibby, during a shoot in Vegas, look forward to it!!

Also don't forget the special RED Rocket offering form Maxx Digital I posted here: http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=35624

This is going to add a whole lot of power to my mobile situations.
Great work Maxx!

Sean

yes.....

do we know the price yet on this setup...very interesting

Is that price right?! The one on the site...that's like a dream price...

Looks like the price does not include the actual RED ROCKET.

My understanding is that this connects through the Express Card slot. Is there anyway to still be able to connect eSATA drives to your computer as I currently use the Express Card slot for my eSATA connections.

Would the Sonnet Qio provide a solution to this?

Yes this will definitely bring some great option to our sets, Ron from Maxx Digital will be replying soon, and you can direct any questions about pricing and immediate availability plus color and finish choice, directly to him.

Will definitely be posting some tough after Gibby, Richard and I have tested the unit in our shoot next month.

No the Sonnet will not help you. We do offer an upgraded model called Mobile Rocket Raid. This will allow you to use the RED ROCKET and our Raid 5 or 6 hard disc drives at the same time. I am working on some better photos as we speak.

This is a really cool system, for those that were at REDucation in October we played 4k out to the IGI 4k Powerwindow off my older 15 inch MBP. The Maxx products are really nice.

This last REDucation we had two EVO 4k Raid's that were pumping out more than 1300 MB/sec.

Ron,

Is there an intergration cost for putting the RR card into your box
or is it a simple plug and play type of thing?

thanks,

Paul

Whats the due date etc. for Mobile Rocket Raid? Seems like a slightly better option in some ways

Paul,

The RED Rocket does just Plug and Play into the Mobile Rocket. The biggest features of the Mobile Rocket, among other advantages, is that it keeps the RED Rocket cool, and safe with the quietest possible fan speed and layout.

Please let me know if you have any follow up questions here or at my email.

Hi Steve!

I was there and can confirm that throughput... up to 1.4GB/Sec at times sustained. Insanely cool.
