For those interested. Here's a look at the Movi Freefly rig.
Here is Jeff Kilgroe taking it for a spin. They did not want us to touch the Epic version.

Here's a couple shots of the remote control device. It is included in the price. For the record we did not see this in use.

I'm wondering what people will think of this... it's pretty much a hand held steadycam. I don't know if it's perfect, I imagine a steadycam would still be much better.

I think ergonomically a SC would be better for some situations, but the thing about this is it is versatile. You could do away with a post and mount it to a SC arm for example.

So that's what the famous Jeff Kilgroe looks like

Jeff didn't want to let go, they have to snatch away from him (LOL)

Not crazy about the fact that you need 2 people to operate this. As a steadicam operator I like the fact camera movement is controlled by one person and can be more intuitive as opposed to coordinating movements with another person. That being said, its pretty amazing technology and would love to give it a spin anyway.

Vincent Laforet says there is a solo operator mode as well

This is seriously a game changer in terms of cinema. For those that haven't seen this particular video, check it out.

The scenes with the girls riding down the subway railing and the cab shot are RIDICULOUS! I'm almost speechless at how unreal the shots looked.

This is seriously a game changer in terms of cinema....

Careful with that word "game changer"....

Cinema is way more than just a collection of cool shots.

So I don't really think the game has changed.
And if anyone can now effortlesly now do cool shots.
Then what present value they have now....will be much less in the future.

If you could make Gold w/ an alchemy kit in your garage.
The value of Gold would be much less.

I played with the M10 this morning. Very cool! I told my buddy who makes the Bartech line of wireless follow focuses, (he also used to work for Steadicam), and he seemed pretty excited about it as well.

Haha - THAT's Kilgroe? I thought he was at least 20 years older!
How old do you think I am?
Jeff didn't want to let go, they have to snatch away from him (LOL)
Dude got really nervous for some reason when I started wiggling it around.you can operate with 1 person. Majestic mode that has been mentioned. But with 2 people, the second can control camera movement within the gimbal. ...or pull focus, if you throw a remote FF into the mix.

That depends on the 'purity' of the worlds Gold supply.

Think of it like JP Morgan ruining the Silver market. They have cooked their books by over $100 Billion. Yes, BILLION. That's over 3.3 Billion Ounces. In the 1800s they enacted a rule that stated, "Gold will be 15x the amount of Silver." As of right now, Gold is actually 56.5x the amount of Silver. Point is, larger corporations like JP Morgan have the ability to manipulate a market because they have not only the power, but the means to shift the balance in their favor.

That is not much different than bigger studios having the funding to attempt any shot regardless of money. Indie filmmakers did not readily have access to those same types of shots, until now. In my opinion, the fact that Indies now have more tools in their arsenal to compete at the highest level, only continues to help level the playing field.

Exactomundo - having access to higher production value camera moves doesn't cheapen the artistic value thereof, just like having access to 100s or 1000s of extras via VFX software hasn't cheapened the artistic value of a crowd shot.
