  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

THE MOMENT AFTER - shortfilm

Watched it again.

This is very good story-telling.

It is very difficult to make everything clear in a short film:

The characters, the problem, the solution, the message...

And visually, it's very good too.

Respect.

yeah.. sometimes he's forgetting he's not speaking to his students in his classroom..
Former classroom... :-)

Here is a recent thread open @cinematography.com RED subforum on subject, where you can contribute as you wish:

Yet on my comments, extravagance does mean:
«the quality of exceeding the appropriate limits of decorum or probability or truth» *

«Too much far away from any lack of extravagance» means what its antonymous does mean. In this case, these limits cannot necessarily be seen as any lack (of anything). Otherwise, «the quality of exceeding the appropriate limits of (...)» are (in its own meaning) a quality not a liability as any porn quote or any movies ratings aka CARA * could imply in distortion.

For me, her failed attempt at leaning for an kiss was a really painful moment. Well done.

You've probably answered this, but what was the atmosphere like on set? What did you give the actors for direction?

About story, well, i´d like to think that he is not such a bad guy, i´d like to think he was thinking: "Hey, why didn´t this girl tell me before? I feel a bit betrayed. Goodbye."

Oh, wow. I didn't think of that.

Differing expectations let both of them down. Communication is underrated.

Hey Macgregor,

Beautiful short as always, really noticed the sound though it was great. Do you have any info on the sound dept?

Cheers

I mean do you have any info on how the sound was recorded, ie what mics, mixer and what about post on the sound because the sound was amazing in this short.

Cheers

Well, we recorded the sound directly to the red camera, but since the phantom power with bulid15 was giving a lot of noise, the audio was unusable.

THerefore two days later we called the actors again to re-record the sound of the whole thing. We used the cheapest professional audio recorder that i could get, and that was an old DVX100 with a mic. ;D

Since we were shooting in DV i just had to capture the avi files in vegas and done! lip syncing was the hardest part because we change a line on her script.

Hey Macgregor, superb stuff, also on your site. Very impressive!

If you ever need any original music scoring done, I'd like to collaborate with you someday. If you're interested, let me know, here's my website with some of my work:

I wish you all the best with this and future projects.

Best regards,
