Hello gifted cinematographers

Just wondering if any of you know by studying this picture from the film the master. You can tell me if its possible to achieve this lighting by bouncing an hmi off a muslin set up on the ceiling of a location? I have the cinematographer magazine and they have a muslin layed out over the ceiling however the lights are set up pointing down. I dont have the money or the permission to mount lights on the ceiling so i was wondering if its possible to bounce a powerful source of light to achieve this look.

Thanks

This is a soft light up high, and you can read it in the big soft highlight on the forehead and in his left eye, and also from the shadows of the eyebrows and the chin. You don't really need to put the bounce on the ceiling, you can just hang it down from a high c-stand for a similar look, although you might lose some of the soft light area, depending on talents position relative to the bounce.
