Hey guys, I was the editor/associate producer on this. Noticed it hadn't been posted in the "Shot on Red" forum so went ahead and started this thread. Would love to hear what you guys think of it, and if you really like it feel free to give us a vote. There's a 10k audience choice award being given out and it only takes a few seconds to vote.

*Edit*
Here's a link to the teaser for it if you want to check it out before watching the movie: http://www.vimeo.com/16963352

Here's the synopsis:
"Ralph Winston has never cried; not when he was a baby, not when his heart was crushed by his high school sweetheart, not even when he first saw Steven Spielberg's E.T. So when his father dies, Ralph - at the age of 32 - decides to embark upon a true emotional journey with hopes to shed his first tear before the funeral - and before it's too late. Starring Keir O'Donnell (Wedding Crashers, Lost), Jess Weixler (Teeth, Peter & Vandy) and Madison Burge (Friday Night Lights seasons 4 & 5), The Man Who Never Cried aims to plumb the depth of human emotion: it'll make you think, laugh - it might even make you cry."

Terrific Film - Should be Proud

Terrific Film - Should be Proud

I've been fortunate enough to have a chance to live amongst talented filmmakers and immerse myself into their lifestyle and understanding of quality films. This film is one of the best shorts I've seen in a long time and I think it truly shows the abilities of what the RED is capable of. You've definitely got my vote. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it.

Editing this film definitely made me wish that everything I cut was shot on red.

I haven't cried since 1997, so I thought I'd click this. Totally awesome.

I was just planning on clicking a few seconds of the time-line, in random sections. But I ended up wanting to watch more from the start. The story is really what drew me into it.

Thanks for the opportunity to see such inspirational work.

Joel and Joseph,

Thank you guys so much for the kind words. As I'm sure you know, it means a lot to hear compliments like that from peers. I will definitely share them with the rest of the crew.

On a self-promotional side note. We are competing with 3 other films for a 100k grand prize that is decided by judges. There's also a 10k audience choice award being given out. So if you guys want to help us out, you can vote daily for the movie on that site. You just use your e-mail address and it takes literally 5 seconds a day to do so. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Very very well done, I even started tearing up at the end. And gorgeous cinematography. I'm sure the red team would be proud

I just now heard about this and watched it, and I'll give it the best compliment I can: I enjoyed it. Congratulations!

Edit: to be clear, I say congratulations for winning and making it. Not because I enjoyed it...

Beautiful film on all levels.

Although I have to admit the flashbacks and the narration had me thinking 500 Days of Summer the whole time.
