Thanks for the response Jon. Glad to hear the sensitivity isn't affected. Look forward to seeing some real world examples, hopefully soon as I'm shooting a feature next month on Dragon and after a lower contrast picture. Do you have any plans to shoot a side by side in the next month? Would be very helpful to see how the filter behaves side by side with skin and highlights in a few different scenarios, including backlight and light sources in the shot. Would be great to compare it the original Red OLPFs both with and without diffusion such as black pro mist or hollywood black magic. Looking forward!

There will be specific Weapon OLPF from Kipper Tie.

Thanks Bob. Yes, weapon will be able to detect standard and third party OLPFs, however due to some substantial reworking of the OLPF concept, Weapon will have its own specific version.

We'll have weapon versions of our products as soon as physically possible, and hefty discounts for existing users too

To clarify, WEAPON will automatically be able to detect which version of RED OLPF is installed. However, all third-party OLPFs will register as a generic third-party OLPF. Meaning, WEAPON won't be able to detect WHICH of John's OLPFs is installed. Just that a non-RED manufactured one is...

I believe Kippertie has taken the mantle of this...and created solutions most were looking for (from what I can tell). Have you seen what they've been up to? Pretty impressive...
