  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Lovely Bones

Just saw The Lovely Bones and loved it. Does anyone know what camera system was used for the macro shots of the hands?

I don't really recall the shots you're referring to, but the picture was shot on three systems: film (the vast, vast majority of the picture), Red (only about 20 shots, all in the "in between" world and largely aerials), and Iconix (the very close shots of Stanley Tucci running through the house, shot by Tucci himself).

Is this true? I'm a bit disapointed if it is.

It looked like the Iconix camera, those macro shots of his fingers, and inside the doll's house.

I didn't quite enjoyed the film.

However, I liked the Iconix shots. They brought something extra to Tucci's character. It was weird but effective, mixing 35mm suddenly with just one o two digital shots. Just at the right moment.

The rest of the film had issues on different levels, in my humble opinion.

Finally saw this haunting fim... looked great, and some amazing performances, Tucci was absolutely sickening... literally cheered out loud (spoiler alert) when he fell off the cliff
and crushed his skull.
