  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Lovely Bones Apple Trailer

do we have any idea how much of this was shot on RED?

You can tell what's shot on Red its pretty incredible the difference. The real question is why if they are using the Red already don't they use it for the whole film?

Wow, other than the end credits I just watched that whole movie. Sorry, a little off topic, but why do they always do this? I seriously know the entire plot of this movie.

Hitchcock is turning over in his grave. (When it comes to showing things so explicitly and literally rather than just teasing...)

I was just going to post the same thing. It pisses me off too... Nothing worse than a trailer that reveals too much. And even more disgusting when the trailer is all there is to show and watching the actual movie is like watching the trailer with a lot of "filler".

A trailer should never show any shot that occurs more than half-way through a film, IMO. If you feel this is absolutely necessary to grab your audience, then there's a good bet the film sucks. ...Just sayin'

I still want to see The Lovely Bones. The novel was a good read and I want to see what Peter Jackson has done with it.

This looks great but I agree with Kevin in regards trailer revealing so much. Either way I nice work PJ and team! Is this 100% RED?

My understanding is primarily shot in 35mm with some VFX done with RED. I don't know if that means live action greenscreen or background plates or both. Who knows, maybe I'll write about it. :)
