  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The List - Please maintain

Mine was allocated today. I was probably the last person at the event to put an order in. RED is officially getting these babies in to the world now. :)

Wow Liam you are the man. 1st one in OZ I think ?

Yes, apparently low numbers are faster in low light. When I get mine it will be rated slower then yours (sigh ) but then this is made up for by my incredibly FAST touch LCD Screen which apparently not only sees in the dark but also balances out my slower camera thus preserving harmony in the universe.

Of course this harmony all goes out the window if Josef gets his camera before me (i'm 1 number lower than his). In fact I'm thinking of coming down to Melbourne & hanging out at the courier depot just to make sure this doesn't happen, can never be too careful. Josef feel that......yes that twinge.....thats me watching you with my fast LCD screen.

Be cool getting the first Scarlet in OZ. Though I think I saw a SO 1500's - TI PL the other day get allocated somewhere in OZ though? Still might beat her :))
Not sure how the serials work too actually. Do they relate to the time stamp SO order, or just the shipping process I wonder...?
Anyhow what would be REALLY cool is hopefully doing something worthy of her!
Can't wait to shoot my first feature with her this coming year. But suspect it may be like how JJ Abrams describes using his Macbook to write with...
'Every time I pick her up she'll be looking at me with that Super sensor of hers and going "Come one, what are you possibly going to shoot that is worthy of me??"

Scarlet-X serial 513 delivered about an hour ago - Canon mount.

(yes I changed my .sig - the owners of the RED formerly known as 'Eyjafjallajökull' will be returning it for Stage 3. I'm glad I got my Scarlet before *that* happened!)

Liam I live in a beach side suburb of Newcastle. Most of my work & clients are in Sydney though, so down there a huge amount time.

@ Mike happy days watch those intake inlets with volcanic dust!

Of those 3, the touchscreen and sidehandle seem like the least likely to ship. :P Did you order a package or separate?

Mike does this mean you expect Hekla to go off this summer? What is your epic going to be called Eyjafjallajökull 2? My epic will likely be Lengai, but could be Krakatoa. Lengai seems more likely being that it is also the Masaai word for god!
 
Jeffrey, that has to be the LCD. It has been in and out of backorder. I had one on order, and got it about 2 weeks ago. Just got my Ti Canon mount today(ordered on the 30th). Nothing to plug it into yet...
