Of course this theory goes out the window with Josef also getting a touch. I reckon they are moving along the list in alphabetical order hence my name 1st. Alternately they could be just responding to my massive Aussie talent.........but somehow suspect that isn't the case. I think they're saving you for the SSD reader :0

I'm in the same boat. I ordered mine on the 3rd, with Touchscreen and Sidehandle at 7:45 PST SO: 0945 and mine is in backorder while others have theres shipping.

I know they're loaded, but even before the Scarlets order she's rarely remembered who I am or my situations in emails, I usually have to bounce something 2-3 times off my rep.

Madeline was a fantastic rep for me.

She made my experience with Red completely awesome, and I still email her and talk because she's a great person.

But she is busy. I don't think it's her fault at all. Just think of 1000 people ordering Scarlet, then on top of the 1000 people ordering Stage 2 Epics, then stage 3, and 3.5 then stage 4. They are so swamped and they are doing the best they can. I know it can be frustrating, but hardly any AL Canons are going out yet. If you wanted your Scarlet quick, the safe way would have been to go with the PL. The specifically said they had extra PL mounts in stock and were going to get those shipped out quick.

Im sorry you are having a bad experience with Madeline, but I can guarantee shes not doing it on purpose.

Well it's 5 am and I'm on my way to the Toronto airport to fly to L.A. to pick up my Scarlet...


First things first:

-Ordered 6am Eastern Nov 4th (3am L.A. time)
-Wasn't at the event


Camera allocation email came on Dec 13th, but they couldn't guarantee shipping / delivery before Christmas. I'm leaving the day after Christmas for a 2 week job in Japan, then drop right into the busiest January of my career when I return - all of those clients want Scarlet… So I figured in order to learn the camera inside out and test it before using it on paid production, I would need to bring it to Japan and shoot with it on my down days over there (every other day is a down day on this job). Plus I could get some great content for my stock footage portfolio.. So while we'll be shooting the Japan job on an AF100 - I'll be spending my free time with Scarlet.


I'll be picking up:
-Brain with PL mount
-RedVolts
-5" LCD
-Redmag 1-256 and 4- 64's
-RedStation


Still on backorder and will ship later:
-DSMC side handle
-Redmote

P.S. found out late last night that they found a 5" touch screen for me.

I spoke to the London office the other week and they said mine would be in the first UK batch as my number is very early. Couldn't give date, but said they were hoping it would be soon. Looks like it won't be this year now.
