No. SO numbers are for *everything* they aren't Scarlet Order numbers. So the first 50850 orders were for Epics, RED Ones, Batteries and Hats. That's how we figured out 850 was the starting point actually, I believe someone ordered a hat on Nov 3 before the announcement.

By the way my formula guessed based on Dec1 being Day 1 but until phone and Event orders are fulfilled it's even more meaningless. So throw some salt over your shoulder while looking at it.

It looks like a long wait for most of us.
My gut hunch is that production will only ramp up in the new year. I'm OK with that though.
Another hunch is that EPIC orders take priority - rightly so since they're paying a lot more.

I wish that were true about the epics. We have been waiting for years for them. Looks like its not true. The last stage 2 guys seemed to have been put on hold for scarlets.

I second what Gavin said. I put in two orders on day scarlet was listed, and my numbers are within a couple of hundred before that magic 850. I think one may have been 800 or so. You have to figure about 200 orders or so from L.A. I'm sure some people get privilege (but they more then likely deserve it for one reason or another). It's kind of fun trying to figure out where we are. I suspect many of the online guys will start hearing soon. The list will be great to give us an approximate idea with out bothering the bomb squad guys. We can let them do their job.

RED wouldn't say 'yeah these guys pay more for their cameras so they get priority'...cause that wouldn't make a lot of sense...you'd be killing future customers potentially that could be just as loyal as the EPIC guys...

Long story short... The Scarlets are going out, I just think its what happened when EPICs started going out, it didn't seem as fast but then it started to pick up...the holidays have slowed stuff down but come Jan time, they'll be on fire...

I think the closed beta was perty big and threw off our numbers. As for me, I'm glad some of the old "red" crowd are really testing things out before i get mine. But btw ... when some people in the user group comment on "patience" ... they must be in a different planet then I am, because all I have is impossible deadlines and production tasks.

wiped the forumla test, its thrown off since Dec 1st is still shipping event cameras it seems, plus rather people not get hung up on it but I have to say, some of those orders that arrived, it was 5 days off which for a theoretical forumla...is pretty damn good!

Let's hypothetically say that if I ordered an Al Canon Scarlet within the first hour it was on the store, and if I happened to have the balance sitting in my account at red ready to be taken up the moment my camera is allocated....
