  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

So, let me understand this right; you spoke to a real living flesh-and-blood human being at Red Europe today and he told you that?! Please confirm. Can you recall the name of the Red employee?

If that is really the situation - which i find hard to believe - quite a lot of people here'll have a serious problem with that! And will run into serious problems too...

No Its not a joke I called for some other orders and got a real human on the phone . When I asked for my Scarlet I was told to wait 3 month when I said I ordered in november. Maybe this person gave me this response assuming my order was at the end of November, or just answering like a robot, I cannot say.

I posted the exact same thread end of december saying that I was told 3 more months delay and nobody believed me at the time :) now we are at the end of February...

I'm simply guessing here but If people who reserved on the 6th and 7th of november (3days after the announcement) are only getting them now (4/5month later), therefore if people who reserved at the end of november (27 days after announcement) only gets them in 3 months might be possible unless there was a very very big drop in orders a few days after the announcement.
I'm just assuming this last part.

I ordered mine on the 11th and even if i'm not very happy with it, its more sensible, I think to hope to get it in at least 6 weeks and not in 2 weeks.

Just call them to see, they are easy to reach...
 
Obviously quoting Chase after my reply totally contradicts it. However looking at the past replies mostly people who ordered on the 5th,6th,7th are only being delivered these days . Chase seems to be an exception. Being a day away from his order , I hope I'll be one as well. I very much hope that what I've been told was wrong :)
 
I received an allocation notification on feb. 9th for Ti canon mount saying my camera was 5-7 days from further processing.
However, it's been 13 days and I've yet to hear anything. Nor did my rep answer my mail. Could something be wrong or are others experiencing the same?

more money in my account than needed... but: no shipment notification. allocation email received on feb. 9th says: your camera will be ready for shipping within 1-2 weeks. tomorrow the time shoud be up... i´m so jazzed...
 
Got allocation message from Red Europe for Scarlet w. Canon AL, SO# 3035 ordered on the 8/11, yesterday, if someone is still counting.
 
Man, I haven't seen more allocations in one day since I follow this thing! Looks like yesterday everyone skipped lunch at RED! I am assuming the combination of EPICS getting out of backorder, the fulfillment of all orders from the announcement, and the ramping in production are making this happen... December orders our time is near!
 
Same with me. I have been reading everything RED since I got my e-mail.
 
Something I have noticed, they seem to get foreign orders out before domestic ones. Still, it is getting close for me! (I ordered on Nov. 10th)

Haha, same here. Not the way I expected to feel. And I did exactly the same thing last night - took the manual up for a little bedside reading before sleep.

We've all caught Jannard Syndrome; a disease of the central nervous system characterized by extreme obsession with all things camera related. :smiley:
 
Hey,

Scarlet SN 1027 arrived safe and sound in Scotland with all bits and extras that I ordered, except the side handle!

My order no was 51987, Al Mount + Bundle, ordered 4th November UK.

I received my allocation email exactly 1 week ago and it's all here (bar SH) including other stuff I ordered after the initial order.

I'd take a picture, but I'm actually shaking right now, nearly couldn't lift the Scarlet out of the box.
