  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

That's odd. I ordered on Dec. 1 and received an almost instantaneous (automated) message instructing me how to wire money for the deposit, and for what amount. Granted, I'm not sure where you're from. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the process is different for someone located outside the USA.

I feel the same way... I'm constantly looking/playing with my Scarlet, however, I keep mine mounted on a tripod sitting in my living room. It's like an expensive piece of furniture. I'm thankful it's Friday so I can spend the weekend shooting.
 
spoke to my rep Wed and said I'll probably see my baby by Mon-Tue. It could ship out today but thats if everything goes as planned. FYI my cam got allocated Jan. 10th.

Looking forward to flying back home to visit my parents and pick up my gear. =)

Been without a camera since July (Kit got stolen). Too long if you ask me...I'm tired of doing DIT work, ready to get behind the camera. "Baby my MOJO is back!"

I actually called yesterday about it. The service rep I talked to can make the deposit go through manually, if you need. It wasn't super pressing, I just called to make sure I hadn't messed something up.
 
Just an update update, have 8 PMs waiting to update the list! I'm stuck on a plane all day today with just a tablet so will be updating late tonight, around 1 AM PST when I get back to CA.

SO 959 also bypassed the allocation email phase and just got the call that my full Al Kit except side handle is ready for pick-up!
 
Soooooo... I got my confirmation email for the Scarlet yesterday from Fedex, Priority Overnight delivery. Time of arrival said it would be here today by 10:30am. As I had to sign for it, I took half a day off to be home so I wouldn't miss this precious package. Turns out it was scanned at RED but never actually made the FedEx truck. So now I wont get it until Tuesday because RED doesn't allow saturday deliveries, and Monday is a holiday. Anyone feel my pain??? I would almost rather have not known it was coming at all then be waiting at the door like a little puppy waiting for his master to come home! Instead the master just drives by sticking his tongue at me and laughing. And as I love my master so much, when he does finally come home I will still love him as if he didn't ever mock my pain.
Ok melo-dramatic a bit but I was just rollin with it!

Anyway I can't wait for Tuesday! Would have been nice to have a 3 day weekend to play though :(

On January 10th, Scarlet-X #542 arrived! Everything except the side handle, which is backordered. Pics to follow.

Is No Saturday deliveries a RED policy ? I think for the scarlet crowd, Saturday is actually a perty good day for deliveries (fyi Jeremiah ... i think that happened to a group of us).

Overall though ... I am amazed at process improvements at RED ... seems like every week it's get better.

You can try picking it up at the local FedEx facility on Saturday...? That would be feasible where I live.

Patrick- My bomb quad rep said that it WAS policy NOT to deliver on Saturdays.

hmm, I think the same thing is happening to me. fedex status has been "INITIATED"
for a day now...

My Scarlet-X has shipped. It will take some time to get to Europe. SO #50913. Now we wait for the side handles. First the 300 then in the SO order.

Hey Marko,
RED of course doesn't disclose exactly how they process orders, but my side handle order from Nov 3 at 8:45pm PST was just allocated a few hours ago. I was not at the event. I'd bet you're not too far from receiving one...
