  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The List - Please maintain

Gavin, are you greyed because you weren't logged into Google or was it just greyed? Mine was greyed till I logged in,
swear i remember you doing restores in the past, strange...
Oh weird, yeah I got logged out somehow from Google Docs even though I was logged in for Gmail and Google+. Logging in de-grayed it. ;)

EDIT: I also saved off a backup. You can just go to File -> Make a Copy and don't have to copy/paste.

I have visited this list several time and put in my info. Every time I go back, my info has been changed and is incorrect. I'll try once more but...

What number are you and what's getting broken?

Same here. I'm order 950 and mine keeps getting replaced with one from Texas with the same order number, which I assume they entered incorrectly.

This time my order number was changed to 11xx. Changed it back once again.

My order is 1210 from NJ. Whoever from NY needs to stop fucking with my order in the list. If you have 1210 too create another line. Don't change mine!

I am (005)2959. A couple times it was completely changed from the info I put in. The last "muck up" showed my number as an accessory order, had no location, no deposit info, etc. As of an hour ago (or so) the changes I made earlier today have held. To be honest, I think people are careless about their order numbers. Because of the leading 005, some people are transposing numbers and getting theirs mixed up with others. I saw this exact case on the list when one column said something like 2961 and the other column showed 2916; close, but...

I applaud the effort and desire to track this info but I remain skeptical as to it's ultimate helpfulness. I think my camera will ship when it ships. I hold out no expectations.

Yeah, this list was kind of interesting and fun to start with, but the moment has passed and its getting a little crazy, even for Reduser. My order #896 now shows that I've received my camera, and moved to Texas. Neither of which are likely to happen before christmas.

To be honest, just refresh the text below once every five minutes for a similar effect:

• Lucky SOB
• The world is against me.
• If only I'd done something different
• Its all an inside job
• Why him!

• What does notified even mean?
• -> You are here <-
• Guys, just be patient
• Its all part of the 'zen'
• I don't know why you're so worried, I've got mine.
• See ya later suckers!

@ John LOL

So the list is RIGHT you received your Scarlet........so when are you moving to Texas?

Someone has gone and hijacked my SO too. # 1526 ... Or moved me from SF to Boston while I wasn't looking. Ah well, as long as I get my scarlet and they dont get it.

What's the highest serial number we've seen so far?

As far as I can see on the list it's #221 which does not bode well for delivery dates.

Cheers

Michael

For whatever reason, there are a few 1381s and my number is (005)1381. Furthermore mine was switched to something like 1500s. What is with this?

Guys, the doc is open to everyone, so most likely there's pranksters/disgruntled haters who have nothing better to do then sabotage that list.

If this is true, this whole exercise seems somewhat futile. FWIW, the doc won't even load for me now. :-(

OK - I think I am finished with this. Just went back to find that my SO number has now been allocated to a Ti PL mount going to New York. That isn't me. I have double-checked my number several times just to make sure I had it correct. I did. Like I said - great idea but it just doesn't work. No information is better than bad information. There is nothing here that can be trusted.

I think we'll have to rely on each other to post our SO# and mount type when we get our scarlet notifications. At least we'll have some idea where we are in the qeue. Thanks all for trying.

Sam.Gordon. You did it this time. :P

The problem is that people change the sort ordering and then it only sorts the SO number and not the information attached to it. SO numbers aren't a reliable sorting data point. And it's a pain to scan through them to figure out who is going out when and why. So just leave the sorting be and automagically it'll update a couple times a day and we won't keep breaking it every 90 minutes.

Why is it I can use sophisticated Post Production software with ease but I'm always totally confused by the deep mysteries of Excel :/
