Would the lights work with the PAGlink batteries?

Do we have until end of day tomorrow to decide?

Yes JS, they will.

Assuming standard V-mount specs are followed and the battery in question is rated to output at least 5 amps. Bonus, gotta love this, you can set the maximum draw anywhere from 5 amps to 12 amps to accommodate a lower output battery or to conserve battery life. I have to say, the apparent ability of these lights to be CT stable at widely varying levels due to the use of the phosphor modifier is a terrific asset. High efficiency with a simple switchover between daylight and tungsten. Should travel well without demanding a great deal of space - I've dragged an ARRI tungsten kit through too many airports to count and that gets old fast.

Going to look under the sofa for $2,000, what the heck ;-)....

Cheers - #19

Well said Blair, and those are also few of the considerations that drove me to immediately buy 3 of the Area 48 Soft to test, and been so happy about them I started this group buy and our Studios will sport dozens of this.

Now go look under the sofa... and don't forget to look under your lady's pillow too... ;)

An IMPORTANT update on the Soft Carry Bags designs for One and Two Area 48 Soft Units.

I have removed the Bags form this Group Buy as I didn't like the original design, but the guys at B.B&S responded quickly with suggestions made and are now in the process of making the Bags as below drafted, this WILL NOT SHIP together with your Area 48 Soft fixtures, this will be offered when ready, possibly in a month or so, tho all of those that participated in this Group Buy, thanks.

This Bags will be in Black, out of Soft material yet Hard on the edges to protect the Fixtures and they can be stacked on top of one an other with no worries, yet this are not Pelican/Storm like hard shell cases so can't be loaded with ton of gear on top of it, but their design is compact fitted to the fixtures themselves as to reduce size and weigh to the maximum for best travel comfort and protection.

BINGO!!

Thanks to Oliver's (and every one else's) participation in this Group Buy, we have got to our goal, and
get the full 25%!!

Some have asked me to extend this Group Buy a few days as to allow them to look in to financials as they really want to get in, and I am happy to say that this Group Buy is officially extended till next FRIDAY the 26Th!!

However since the maximum Discount has already been reached, the Manufacturer will start communication via the emails you guys give me, so to proceed with your orders, so you don't have to wait an other week to get your Area 48 Soft fixtures.

Ketch,

Great news on hitting the 25% discount, that even more RedUsers are going to get the chance to buy the lights at a discount, and that you've had an accessory designed! ...Mr Bloom watch out ;-)

Happy to wait for the new carry-on bags.

Ha ha!!

Please put me down for 2 units Ketch. I am still deciding between 5600k and 3200k. Thanks!

You are down for 2 Carey, please PM me your email so that the manufacture can contact you to place the order.

As far as deciding the Kelvin, you did understood that this Fixtures have the Phosphor Media interchangeable, so you can use each fixture as both 3200k or 5600k by just buying both Phosphor Media panels.

Great to hear the group buy has done so well! I look forward to placing my order and playing with umm, I mean working with these stunning panels very soon.

Thanks again Ketch and BB&S for bringing this deal to our community!

My pleasure Michael.

While this Group Buy has been extended till Next Friday, all of those that had already sent me their email and are ready to order, will be put in the priority list.

On Monday this list will be ran thru by the guys at B,B&S and contact you individually so that you can place your individual orders, please do remember that if you need an AC Power Supply you must put it on your order, and also you need to choose if you want your Barndoors to come with the reflective Silver panels glued to them, or if you prefer to have the Standard Matte Black Barndoors, then chose your Battery Plate, if V-Lock or AB Gold mount, any ways this Battery plates are detachable via a two tooll-less screws, and if and when need to can be swapped form one mount to an other, additionally the Remote Phosphor Media can be also toollessly replaced by the user in less then ONE minute any ware, so that you can take both the 3200k and 5600k and replace them as needed.

Any questions you might have please do not hesitate to ask me here or the Manufacturer when emailed to palce your order.

If you want a the light to spread further out, then the reflective Silver will do just that, and Silver also has a stronger reflective and a touch harder then say, white, but in the configuration were applied to the Barndoors, will be a bit harder to Block, if you care more about blocking then reflective power, then get the stander Barndoors without the added Silver reflective panels glued to them.

Ketch: Thanks again for putting this together....

I'll take one 5600 light with reflective barndoors

I am hoping the light comes standard with hardware to mount to a C- Stand --would that be correct?

Right now, I am torn between AC Power or AB Battery plate option... I already have a Vagabond Mini Lithium Battery that might work...

Frank

My pleasure Frank and thanks for participating.

Yes C-Stand mount is included.

Make sure to make sure to buy now what you need as far as accessories AC or not Battery mount or not, as only via this group buy there will be the 25% discount on all of them, after next Friday with this Group Buy closed, all other purchases, including accessories will be paid at full price, plus you'll incur in additional shipping charges.

The only accessory that will also receive the Group Buy discount will be the Bags, which once finished will be offered exclusively to the participants of this Group buy at the same 25% discount.

PS: Please PM me your email so that the manufacturer can contact you to place your order, thanks.

Since brothers-sons are based in Denmark. Isnt it problem with getting back the taxes since they are outside of EU? I bought a raid from a caldigit reseller 5 years ago and did not get to pull of the taxes.

Never thougt I would be intressted in a led again. I think leds in general have way to harsh to point at someones face other then from behind (with no diffusion). What I do like about leds is that hey throw the light longer then fluorescent. But this seams to be a really good find and Im happy you did this groupbuy. I think I have to pass on this one...was just a little bad timing.

Happy to inform all participants to this group buy that B,B&S has started their process, would be great if those of you do post here once you got your order placed for and when you get your fixture, also to serve as a platform to see how they are working in getting the orders processed and fixtures shipped out to every one.
I received my email from Lars Husted Dall from BB&S and sent him back the order list. I am still waiting on the final PO from BB&S so I can send payment.

Meanwhile for those of you that requested a little more time, you now have till the end of this week, after which there will be absolutely no way that I can help any one left out of it, as this is a ONE time deal only....

Just to make sure. The deal ends this Friday April the 26 ?

I just fished the email from Lars out of my junk mail folder. Looks like it came in yesterday, maybe monday, but I'm not looking at it at the moment. So it looks like we're moving forward. :)
