  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The journey...

What a ride this has been.

It really is mind-boggling what has happened in the last 3 years. We thank all of you that have been along for the ride. More to come.

Yes, quite a ride. One that I'll never forget, nor will the world. To have achieved your dream and influenced so many and the industry as a whole, is astounding in this short time. And to think RED is just getting started.

It leaves one speechless...

A Scam in action..

Go Big

Go Big

I've always believed that not taking big risks is a key limiting factor to how most people live their lives. "Go big or don't go" has served me well across several careers.

You and the team are enabling me to toss the dice again on something I desperately want to do, and be a part of something I see as both important and revolutionary.

You don't get a lot of chances to recreate the best opportunities and successes in your life, and you folks are providing that very thing for a lot of us.

I thank you, my wife mostly thanks you, and my net worth, well on that one we are just going to have to wait and see :smile5:

Go big or don't go, no regrets, do everything to the best of your ability, surround yourself with smart hardworking passionate people... and be prepared to be amazed at the outcome.

Thanks to you and the team,

Stephen

Because of Red I have become way more involved in the production side of things. More so than I thought I would have. I've meet so many people I would have never met if Red wasn't in my life. I'm sure it's hard for non-Red people to undrestand just how much this camera has changed my life for the better.

This forum has been the most positive movement in independent cinema that i have witnessed. Other manufactures have let use down after RED blazed the trail. Red has always been there to provide hope that some day (hopefully soon ;-)) that we can truly forget about our cameras and the unorthodox contraptions that we attach to achieve the look we always dreamed of. You have made us feel apart of your company. We rally behind you. I am 22 years old and I am RED for life.

Yea baby... I see a REFRESH party brewing in the horizon. :emote_happyhappy:

F5... F5... F5... F5...

I feel like we need an AA group or something. I was experiencing withdrawal symptoms from the dearth of JJ posts. Some addictions are healthy though... right?

Good luck JJ & Co. Keep fighting the good fight.

Only 6 hours since your post Jim and already 900+ looks. Amazing.

Thanks Jim, your dream is helping my dream to become a reality. Now that is truly cool.

Jim, for a person waiting from the side lines for the camera to mature into what we all know the S35 will be, and the supporting accessories, Red Rocket, Redcine-X, the RPPs, and Build 20 and beyond I just want to say: Thank you.

Humberto Rivera

Jim you do not fathom what kind of regard we on Reduser hold you in. You are our champion and we thank you for that.

I have learnt so much from these forums. I was saying the other day on the other side (Scarletuser) that I feel like I'm in my second year of the university of Red/Scarletuser. I've made friends, learnt, and developed my skills. And I've not even got my hands on my Red (yet).

Thank you

Same here. Nothing like skimming the high-end pro knowledge while waiting to buy cameras that are already making history.

Buying the RED ONE camera system is by far the best investment I ever made, and I expect no less from Epic...

It´s been a very exciting ride since the I read the first threads on the camera development back in december 2005 (on dvinfo.net)

Your most impressive feat in my opinion is the whole redcode thing, being able to manage 4K files with such ease, and still keep it down at managable sizes. It´s just a lovely system!

Thank you RED!

BTW:I am ready to upgrade when you are ready to upgrade me!

Jim, I can honestly say that working with the camera is a joy. I'm hard pressed to think that Scarlet and Epic are going to be more enjoyable. Times being what they are makes for scant funds, but it's a blast to see the images and to have clients ooh and ahh over them.

We need an S-CAM shirt of some sort, next time ya'll are ordering new shirts for the masses.

Thanks for letting us see behind the curtain Jim. I check Recon almost as much as my email...you know...just in case :)
